Legs & Co. – Let’s Go Round Again

Top of The Pops 8th May 1980:
Legs & Co. dance to Let’s Go Round Again by the Average White Band.

Update, 21 May 2015: This weeks TOTP repeat gives me a chance to upgrade the embedded video here. Now we can see every little spot of confetti.

This song, by Dundee funksters the Average White Band, is ostensibly about trying to re-kindle the flames of an old romance. But beyond the story of the lyrics, there’s a deeper, meaning: the song is really about the impossibility of recapturing the lost past.

So how artistically appropriate of Flick (and presumably that Mr. Nash) to choose outfits for Legs & Co. that perfectly harmonise with this subtle secret meaning: skimpy white bathing suits and bikinis. Bravo!

From the old blog, Thursday, 21 October 2010:

Here’s another clip from PattiforPM. This time it’s “Let’s Go Round Again” by the Average White Band. “Legs & Co in white swimsuits; how on earth could Mr Rumbold or even Mrs Slocombe object to that?” Indeed. Thanks, PattiforPM!

Could be there sexiest vid ever. Love the way my number one and two girls, Sue and Gill get the skimpy bikinis. Not sure about the one piece jobs for the other four.
